Marina Barrage is a multi-purpose attraction in Singapore. Although its main function serves as a dam – aiding water storage and flood control for the whole of Singapore – most visitors know Marina Barrage because of its rooftop park.
The park with a green grass floor is a place of recreation, proving especially popular for picnics as well as dates! It is a perfect place for kite flying as it is located right next to the sea which makes it the windiest spot. If you don’t have a kite, you can purchase one easily from the shop downstairs.
Plan your arrival at evening time (when the day’s heat has subsided a little) to see the stunning sunset view. At this place, you also have the chance to glance at other popular visitors’ attractions such as the Gardens by the Bay, Cloud Forest, Marina Bay Sands, the Singapore Flyer, and the CBD’s skyscrapers at one go.
