Geylang L32 Hand Made Noodles

Ban Mian (Flour Noodle) is popularly known as handmade noodles. The dough of the

noodle is made from scratch with flour and eggs to stretching of the dough to become

noodle-like strands. Ban Mian is commonly eaten in Singapore coupled by the fact that

most Singaporeans will crave for at anytime of the day.

This dish is very well known in Singapore as Ban Mian is available in almost every hawker

center or food court. Typically, all the ban mian stalls offer a few choices of noodles: flat

ban mian, thin u-mian or thick chewy mee hoon kuay. The various broth base are mainly

the same, with wonderful balance between salty and sweet, brewed from ikan bilis and

only the texture of the noodle is varied according to individual preference.

This Ban Mian stall that I am about to recommend, offers their specialty dry ban mian and

is one of the best stalls in Singapore, whereby the combination of black sauce and their chilli

sauce are added to the bowl of noodles, so that you get a plate of dry handmade noodles

accompanied with egg and minced pork, prawn or fish, etc that are more flavourful. A separate

bowl of soup will be served as well and this adds more kick to its taste.

Ban mian lovers looking for the BEST ban mian in Singapore? Look for it at Geylang Lor 32;

a bowl of starchy chewy hot ban mian is waiting for you. And be prepared to be greeted by a

long queue.
