Sisters’ Island

Sisters’ Island

If you love the sea, beach and snorkeling, this is the perfect place for you to go to. As you can see from the image above, the sea is blue and clear as if it is a painting. Also, there are even dolphins that have been sighted here!

Sisters’ Island is one of the Singapore’s richest coral reefs reside. There are 2 different trails with varied depths showcasing a variety of marine biodiversity and reed features.

The depth for the diving is around 10m to a maximum of 15m. There are also 20 stations marked by sign letting you know the type of marine. There are more than 250 species of hard corals, 100 species of fishes, 200 species of sponges and 12 species of seagrass.

If you are not interested in snorkeling and diving, you may picnic under the shade of palm trees or even better, apply for a camp permit! As NParks has designed Sisters’ Island to be a marine park, there will be free tour guides here. Those tour guides are all really nice and friendly with a lot of knowledge about marine life too! But remember to walk in a line with the guide to minimize the harm to the fragile “residents”.

How to get there:

Visitors can charter their own boat from West Coast Pier or Marina South Pier to visit Big Sister’s Island. We advise the public to join the introductory guided walks organised by NParks, for a more fulfilling trip. Boats will be chartered for participants of NParks’ guided walks.
