The pond in front of the building is called “Wuliang Yao Chi” and in the pond there are five goddess statues which represent the five types of grains that are used in the brewing of Wuliangye.

Jiu Sheng mountain

The Jiu Sheng mountain in Wuliangye is the highest place in the Ten-Star Alcohol City, with an elevation of 320 meters. At the top of the mountain, there is a “Jin Shi Nv” statue which is a statue of an ancient beauty riding on a lion at the foot of the mountain. Under the “Jin Shi Nv” statue there is a liquor jar, collecting all the nature essences to brew Wuliangye. It takes about 10 mins to reach the top of the mountain and you will be able to have a panoramic view of the whole Wuliangye area.

The tenth Banchan Lama Great Master and Wuliangye

The tenth Banchan Lama Great Master who was once a vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, used Wuliangye in the religious meetings of the goddess. During the ceremony, he smiled benevolently while holding the Wuliangye bottle high up to bless the national unity. This significant moment has been carved on the walls (Figure 2) for its significant  commemoration.
