In olden times, Wuliangye was called “Za Liang Jiu” or baijiu made of food grains and the literatis called it “Yao Zixue” . In a grand event, Mr Deng Zijun (Wuliangye successor) changed the name to “Wuliangye which means the essence of the five grains and cereals.

“Guo Jiao Da Qiao” is a famous bridge in Luzhou. It is an extra reinforced cabled 1,094 meters long bridge across the Yangtze river. The river near the bridge has a number of floating restaurants. A boat ride on the river will enable you to appreciate the beauty of the river, feel the breeze, look at the shinning “Luzhou Laojiao” and “Guo Jiao 1573” lightboards.
