President of Chinese Baijiu Association Singapore and also the Managing Director of Singapore Chinese Baijiu Pte Ltd, Mr Charles Oon accepted an exclusive interview today with Xinhua News Agency Singapore branch reporter, Li Xiao Yu. They conducted in-depth exchanges and discussed the impact the pandemic has on the liquor industry in Singapore, as well as its future development.

Mr Charles Oon mentioned that since the outbreak of the pandemic, the company has been actively cooperating with government’s preventive measures. We have also distributed free masks to the public to fulfil social responsibility; free promotion for our F&B partners and a lot of other new attempts such as weekly live broadcast and virtual events.

Although the pandemic has had a certain impact on liquor sales, the short term impact is still manageable. The demand remains high. As the pandemic in Singapore is considered well-controlled, the government will be opening up phase 3 where more social activities will be allowed. This means that our consumer market will gradually pick up and we will continue to improve and be better for our customers.
