Caring for the Elderly with Moutai Part 1——on 17 July at Chinatown

In line with the traditional virtue of “caring for the elderly”, Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd joined hands with China Moutai to organize a series of charity events. In the afternoon of the 17th, Singapore’s Moutai distributor, Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd, in collaboration with the Lions Club of Singapore, prepared a special event for the elderly. As a special token of appreciation for the poor elderly living alone in Chinatown area, they prepared cereals, biscuits, durian, oranges and boxed meals and drinks. The elderly also expressed their happiness and gratitude.

Singapore Xiangqi General Association’s Triple Celebration Dinner

On 1 July, The Singapore Xiangqi General Association celebrated the installation of the 38th Council, the 31st Southeast Asian Games, and the 61st Sun Wenguang Cup National Individual Tournament. Ms. Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State, was invited to officiate at the dinner. Mr. Chan Soo Sen, Singapore’s former Minister of Education, was also invited to the dinner.

President Lim Guan Hao delivered a speech in which he thanked former President Lee Sik Sen for his contribution, as well as the many Permanent Honorary Presidents such as Mr. Charles Oon and Mr. Sun Jing Ting for their generous sponsorship, which helped to make this day a huge success for the Singapore Xiangqi General Association. Mr. Tan Tuan Seng, a senior member of Singapore’s xiangqi community, wrote a couplet, and renowned calligrapher Mr. Ma Shuang Lu presented it to Senior Minister Shen Ying at the celebration party.

A Night at the Opera: The Monkey King Subdues the White Bone Demon


On 24,25 June, Huaxia Cultural Hub and the TUNGRAY Group produced and supported “The Monkey King Subdues the White Bone Demon,” a multifaceted theatrical play, which was successfully staged at the School of the Arts.

The evening was graced by the presence of many guests including Mr. Baey Yam Keng,
Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Transport, Mr. Chan Soo Sen , former Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Minister for Education, Mr. Xiao Jianghua, Director of the Singapore China Cultural Centre and Director of the China Tourism Office in Singapore, Mr. Yao Wanjun, Chairman of TUNGRAY Group, Ms. Lim Jiao Li, President of
Huaxia Cultural Hub, and Mr. Charles Oon, Chairman of Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd.
