The 1915 Square, Moutai Town

Moutai town is a historical place filled with rich culture. It combines the ancient culture, the Long March and this famous Chinese baijiu. The northern shore of the Chishui river is the Pedestrian Street where it is the most prosperous and bustling place in Moutai town. There is the 1915 square to commemorate the year which the Moutai baijiu won the award in the Panama Exposition. This square is located along the streets whereby it displays the full cultural history of Moutai.

 

Moutai Town

Anyone who can come to Moutai town must have some form of bonding and connection with this Chinese liquor. The beautiful Chishui river runs through the panoramic view of the Moutai town where the water is important to the making of the baijiu. Passing through the Guo Jiu gate, it is like entering a huge Moutai museum. The fragrance of Moutai is diffused everywhere; in the mountains, the water and even in the stones. The whole town is surrounded by the aromatic fragrance of Moutai baijiu and with its beautiful country scenery, it is like a fairyland on Earth.

Kweichow Moutai

The packaging image of Kweichow Moutai has been around for more than 60 years which resulted in the high brand recognition. The logo is evolving through the years. Today when it comes to the word “Fei Tian”, everyone will think of the aromatic and famous Kweichow Moutai baijiu which everybody enjoys.

Explore the Moutai Impression Museum

In the Moutai Impression Museum, there is a wall that depicts the entire production process of Moutai baijiu. In the glass display cabinets,  clay was used to prepare a series of realistic characters that allow visitors to understand the entire production process better.

The tale of the “broken Moutai bottle”

Travel beyond the hills and venture as far as possible has always been the dream of the distillers. About 102 years ago, Moutai stepped out of the country for the first time and went to the American city of San Francisco to participate in the Panama-Pacific International Exposition (PPIE). The Moutai participants were hoping to get the nod but no one showed any interest in Moutai. The tale of the “broken Moutai bottle” eventually won the world’s attention.

 

The Moutai Impression Museum

This new building is known as the Moutai impression museum. Situated in Guiyang, it was created by the Moutai Group. It is a Moutai cultural centre with full dimensional experiences. By far it is the world’s largest Moutai pavilion not including the actual Moutai production factory area which is commonly known as the “cultural city of the spirit of China “. Now you able to understand and experience the Moutai culture here in Guiyang without travelling to the Moutai town.
