A Little Goes A Long Way, reimagines three classic Chinese myths – Jingwei Fills the Sea, The Foolish Old Man Moves Mountains, and Kua Fu Chases the Sun – from a fresh perspective. Combining live music, physical theatre, and unique puppetry, the production creates an immersive journey across land, sea, and sky. Audiences of all ages gather around to listen and imagine, discovering that with just a little more persistence, dreams can travel further.
Huayi – Chinese Festival of Arts 2026: Tell Tales: Bananas & Ang Ku Kuehs
Tell Tales: Bananas & Ang Ku Kuehs, is a cross-cultural theatre creation inspired by The Decameron (十日谈) and folk tales. It combines live actors and puppetry to reconstruct memory and myth on a stage resembling ruins. The stories intertwine, transform, and are reborn, weaving together multiple layers of human desire, nature, and narrative.
Huayi – Chinese Festival of Arts 2026: YELLOW
YELLOW Huang Xuan will make his Singapore stage debut at Huayi. He will deliver a music performance full of boundless freedom and creative energy, allowing the audience to experience the charm of this new-generation musical genius, lighthearted yet heartfelt, and ready to laugh, go wild, and groove together with him.
Huayi Festival 2026 – Le Père (The Father)
One of this year’s featured productions is The Father (Le Père), written by Florian Zeller. The play won the 2014 Molière Award in France. Its film adaptation, The Father, received the Academy Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Actor.
