2024 Singapore International Cultural Festival ‘Moutai Cup’ Wushu Competition

Organized by the Singapore Youth Cultural Arts Centre and co-organized by the Singapore Wushu Home and the Singapore International Martial Arts Cultural Exchange Centre, the 6th Singapore International Cultural Festival “Moutai Cup” Wushu Competition was successfully held at the Singapore Sports School on July 27. This event, titled sponsored by Moutai under the Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd, attracted over 1,300 participants and spectators from countries and regions including China, Hong Kong (China), Germany, Belgium, Nepal, India, Oman, and Myanmar, becoming an unforgettable cultural festival.

Guizhou Premium Baijiu Exhibition 2024 Overseas Guizhou Trading All Around The World

From July 4 to July 8, 2024, the highly anticipated 2024 Singapore International Food Expo was held at the Singapore Expo. Organized by the Guizhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Expo Bureau), the 2024 “Overseas Guizhou Trading All Around The World” Guizhou Premium Baijiu Exhibition successfully took place, attracting widespread attention and participation. This exhibition not only marked the first large-scale overseas showcase of Guizhou baijiu but also served as an important opportunity to present Chinese baijiu culture.

Mr. Charles Oon, Chairman of the Singapore Chinese Baijiu Association, Managing Director of Singapore Chinese Baijiu Pte., Ltd., and Chairman of the Guizhou Business (Singapore) Pte Ltd, attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition as a distinguished guest. Approximately 50 individuals, including representatives from various Singapore business associations, well-known enterprises, other key investment institutions, trade circulation companies, major channels and operators, brand marketing agencies, and media representatives, witnessed the debut of Guizhou premium baijiu at the Singapore International Food Expo.

During the exhibition, participating companies introduced the international audience to the history, brewing techniques, and corporate culture of Guizhou baijiu through on-site tastings and product displays. This event not only strengthened the cooperation between international buyers and Guizhou baijiu companies but also laid the foundation for jointly exploring international markets.

The successful conclusion of the Singapore International Food Expo provided Guizhou baijiu companies with a valuable platform for showcasing themselves and facilitating exchange and cooperation. It also established a solid foundation for the “Overseas Guizhou Trading All Around The World” Guizhou Premium Baijiu Exhibition to step onto the international stage. “China Times” International Celebrity Go Tournament

On June 29, 2024, the “China Times” International Celebrity Go Tournament, co-organized by the Singapore Weiqi Association and the International Forum, was held at the Singapore Weiqi Association Clubhouse. This tournament invited renowned Go players from around the world, attracting the attention of many well-known Go enthusiasts and supporters of the Urban Culture Forum.

Singapore China Baijiu Pte., Ltd. sponsored the event with its Moutai brand. This initiative not only highlights Moutai’s cultural heritage and social responsibility as a historically rich baijiu brand but also reflects its deep recognition and active support of traditional Chinese culture. This year’s International Celebrity Go Tournament featured an innovative competition system that combined competitiveness, entertainment, and digitalization, incorporating artificial intelligence elements for the first time. It also included professional commentary and live broadcasts, aiming to explore how AI technology intersects with the wisdom and skills of Go, allowing the audience to better appreciate the excitement of Go matches, promoting cultural exchange and mutual learning, and showcasing the profound wisdom of humanity.

On the day of the tournament, 17 Go players participated in a one-day exchange match. The Singapore Go Tournament featured two 6-dan players who competed in five rounds. The competition hall was serene and solemn, with spectators holding their breath, watching quietly. The players were focused, strategically arranging and moving pieces on the black-and-white board. They maneuvered skillfully, contemplating each move, demonstrating strategic depth in a high-level competition that captivated the audience.

As a traditional cultural treasure of the Chinese nation, Go is known as the “chess of life, gymnastics of wisdom.” It boasts a long development history and rich cultural heritage, making it a beloved intellectual sport. The successful hosting of this “China Times” International Celebrity Go Tournament not only provided a platform for Go enthusiasts to exchange and hone their skills but also allowed more people to appreciate the charm of Go. It is significant for promoting the popularization of Go and the development of urban culture.

On June 28, 2024, the 6th International Urban Culture Forum, hosted by the China Times Media Group (Hong Kong), was successfully held at the Asian Civilizations Museum in Singapore. This year’s forum focused on the theme “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Urban Culture and its Future Development.” Experts, scholars, and elite artists from various fields gathered to discuss the cutting-edge issues of current artificial intelligence technology and explore new paths for the development of urban culture.

At this grand event, Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd was honored to sponsor the activities and evening banquet, enriching the event with a strong cultural atmosphere. Moutai not only served as a medium for guests’ interactions but also received high praise from everyone present.

Dr. Xi Hongwei, Vice President of the Singapore Weiqi Association, has observed the current lack of a strong Go foundation in Singapore and recognizes the revolutionary impact of AI Go programs like AlphaGo. Drawing from his own experience, he explores collaboration opportunities between human expertise and AI in the realm of Go.

Master Chen Junrong, founder of Zhengdao Group and Vice President of the International Feng Shui Association, approaches the topic from the perspective of feng shui. He analyzes the theoretical realm of AI’s creation of databases and the relationship of theoretical data in feng shui, aiming to leverage AI to enhance artistic creativity and innovation, surpassing AI in human emotional and creative capacities.

2024 Moutai Tasting Dinner

On June 27, Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd hosted a Moutai tasting dinner at the Orchard Hotel with the theme “Experience the Harmony of Nature and Humanity, Savor the Flavor of Moutai.”

Bartenders meticulously crafted two signature cocktails: the refreshing “Dream of Moutai” and the rich-flavored “Ice Blue Star.” Hostesses dressed in traditional Guizhou Miao costumes warmly welcomed the guests with friendly smiles and professional service, conveying the unique charm of Moutai to every attendee. The display of various Moutai series allowed guests to fully experience the superior quality of Moutai from both visual and taste perspectives.

The dinner was attended by over 70 guests, including industry leaders, senior corporate executives, media representatives, and Moutai experts. Guests raised their glasses frequently, took commemorative photos, and the atmosphere was harmonious and pleasant throughout the evening.

During the tasting, sommeliers guided guests through the process of observing the color, smelling the aroma, and tasting the flavor of the liquor. 63rd “Sun Wen Guang Cup” Award Ceremony and 39th Council Inauguration

On June 27, 2024, the Singapore Xiangqi General Association held the 39th Inaugural Ceremony for its board of directors and the 63rd “Sun Wenguang Cup” National Individual Championship Awards Dinner at Millennium Hall (Farrer Park), attracting approximately 200 guests. This grand event was not only a significant occasion in the Xiangqi community but also marked the strategic collaboration between the Singapore Xiangqi General Association and Singapore China Baijiu company to jointly promote the “Chess and Baijiu” culture.

The dinner was a gathering of distinguished guests. Present were President Lin Guanhao, oath-taker Sun Jingtin, Honorary Life Presidents Charles Oon, Liang Peiling, and Liang Qiyun, former President Hong Zhentian, Vice Presidents Ou Mushun and Dr. Lin Chaoxian, along with representatives from major Chinese associations in Singapore and the Xiangqi community in Malaysia, all coming together to witness this significant moment. In his speech, President Lin Guanhao expressed that the achievements of the Xiangqi General Association today are due to the tremendous support from numerous enthusiastic individuals and organizations, and this is a blessing and a stroke of luck.

In his speech, Sun Jingtin outlined three major development directions for the Xiangqi General Association’s future: promoting Xiangqi culture, enhancing competitive standards, and expanding regional exchanges. In a solemn ceremony, 17 board members received their appointment certificates under the supervision of Sun Jingtin, pledging to contribute to the future development of Xiangqi. Following this, President Lin Guanhao awarded a “Certificate” to the newly appointed Honorary President Chen Xunguang and, together with three Vice Presidents of the Nanan Association, presented awards to the winners of the National Individual Championship in various categories. As Wu Zonghan had won the championship for three consecutive years, a special “Three-Time Champion” cup was awarded to him.

The dinner was not only a grand event for the Xiangqi community but also a charity fundraising activity. President Lin Guanhao successfully raised over 32,000 SGD through gift auctions and karaoke performances. At the end, all board members took to the stage for a toast, and Secretary-General Wu Hanting gave a thank-you speech, blessing the country with peace and prosperity, good weather, and the smooth development of the Xiangqi General Association with three loud “Yum Seng” cheers.

Both Xiangqi and Chinese Baijiu are representatives of traditional Chinese culture. President Lin Guanhao also stated that the growth of Xiangqi cannot be separated from the support of various sectors of society, especially the strong support from Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd. The company will continue to support the Xiangqi cause in Singapore, contributing to the promotion of traditional Chinese culture. The combination of Xiangqi and Baijiu not only enriches the connotation of Xiangqi culture but also adds a unique charm to Xiangqi activities.
