Singapore Kwangtung Hui Kuan Installation Ceremony of 40th (2025–2027) Management Committee & Lunar New Year Gathering Luncheon 2026

The Installation Ceremony of the 40th (2025–2027) Management Committee and Lunar New Year Gathering Luncheon of the Singapore Kwangtung Hui Kuan was held on 14 March 2026 at the Shangri-La Hotel. Mr. Ho Kwok Choi was reappointed as President of the 40th Board. The oath-taking ceremony was officiated by the Association’s Honorary Advisor, Minister for Public Service and Minister for Defence of Singapore, Mr. Chan Chun Sing.


In his address, Mr. Chan Chun Sing (pictured, middle front in Fig. 2) highlighted the current complex and dynamic international situation and emphasized that Singapore must maintain stability and forward-thinking. He encouraged citizens to work together to meet future challenges.


Mr. Ho Kwok Choi (pictured in Fig. 3) has served as President since the 28th Board in 2003, spanning over 20 years. He expressed his commitment to continue serving the Association and the community, stressing the importance of diversity and harmony, and pledged to contribute within his capacity.


During the ceremony, Senior Permanent Honorary President Mr Wong Swee Chun BBM (pictured left in Fig. 6) presented a calligraphy piece as a memento to the Association’s Honorary Advisor, Minister Chan Chun Sing (pictured right in Fig. 6).


Mr.Charles Oon, Chairman of Singapore China Baijiu Pte Ltd and Honorary President of the Kwangtung Hui Kuan, also attended the event and engaged with guests for photos:
