The Singapore Flyer open to the public since March 1, 2008, attracts thousands of tourists come to visit. The Flyer is 165 metres (Height of a 42-storey building). You will surpirse to the Singapore’s dynamic cityscape on the top of the Flyer from Changi Airport to Sentosa Island, and beyond to parts of Malaysia and Indonesia. It comprises 28 fully air-conditioned and UV-light protected capsules that can comfortably carry up to 28 people each. During 30 minutes of the flight, the visitors would have the chance to capture the beautiful landscape of the overall city. When it cilmbs up to the top of the Flyer, the broadcast inside the capsules would have announced that you are already on the top of the world. It is truly a fantasitic trip.

Taking a tour at the time of sunset is mostly recommended. You can enjoy the marvelous view when everything is coated with golden light.  (■Singapore 360°)

Christmas is a festive day for everyone to celebrate! This year, Gardens by the Bay is hosting a special event for everyone to attend to celebrate this festive day.

Christmas Wonderland, Singapore’s biggest Christmas fair, was created by Blue Sky events to enthral visitors with a combination of magnificent sculptures of light with the charming festive markets alongside the carnival games.

This year is a special occasion at Gardens by the Bay with Christmas Wonderland showcasing the magnificent luminaire light sculptures which begin at the Golden Garden and extends throughout the festival premises. The Festive Market is at the SuperTree Grove; the Fairground, Ice Palace and Hi-5 Funtastic House in The Meadow.

Christmas Wonderland 2016 is located at Gardens by the Bay, 18 Marina Gardens Drive, Singapore 018953.

NATIONAL DAY PARADE 2013

On 9 August 2013, Singapore celebrated its 48th birthday with the annual National Day

Parade as well as celebrations in various parts of Singapore.

This year theme of National Day Parade 2013 is “Many Stories… One Singapore.” It calls on everyone to

remember and share the stories that make us who we are and how we identify ourselves as Singaporeans.

On that day, a Dynamic Defence Display (D3) conducted by Singapore Marine, Land and Air force. Additionally Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and the Singapore Police Force (SPF) also join in this year’s D3. There were a total of 31 contingents, comprising our Guard-of-Honour contingents, the SAF Colours Party, the Combined Band, five contingents from the SAF and Home Team, ten uniformed groups, five social organizations and five companies had participated in this year National Day Parade.

There were nine segments for this year National Day shows, which includes Play, Build, Reinvent, Express, Represent, Aspire, Embrace, Love and Party. Each meant to highlight Singapore’s uniqueness and diversity in an entertaining and humorous way. There are nearly 6,000 performers involved in the parade, which was watched by 26,000 spectators at the Marina Bay Floating Platform.
